like a drug

So we discovered, much to my dismay, that angel_heart's computer will not run Oblivion.  And there was talk and dissapointment, then fustration and anxiety, but the time has come.  Sacrifices and consessions have been made, and a new machine is on its way to our lives.  It's bigger than I anticipated, but I am ready for it.  It is being shared in body and price by Eric and I.  It's our first major purchase together and it symbolizes a major commitment not only to the large sum of money, but to the dual-ownership of something we both want.  During the summer it won't be a big deal because I am home during the day and Eric is home at night.  And hopefully during the semester I will be too busy to let it get to me.
Dell XPS600
Pentium 4 /3.6 HT
 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz- 4 DIMMs
512MB Radeon X1900 XTX
250GB HD (2 of them!)
Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeMusic (D), w/Dolby® Digital 5.1

17' Dell ultrasharp LCD monitor

That's a lot of machine.  *drool*  And because we got it refurbished, we saved about $1000!!!

Woot on the new machine!

Beware with refurb's... a good amount of them die within a year or so... so if you notice anything funky, call tech support services.
Define 'die'. I think it came with a 90 day warrantee. Should we have sprung for the 3 year? *crosses fingers* It's a beautiful machine. I don't want it to die. It has so much raw potential.
