Guess what I have planned for this weekend...homework!! Lol. I don't really mind it that much because I like to learn new stuff. The last homework assignment I did, I discovered some ooooold (11th century) Christian writings that were really different from what I am used to seeing. One smacked of paganism, calling God and Christ things like Great Mother!!! Another was way Buddhist. A Byzantine monk wrote it, and the prof and I mused over whether it was influenced by trade route contact with the East, or if the East had not yet had contact and it was an organic formation of nearly identical spiritual practices. (It wasn't even part of the assignment, I read it for fun, and now I intend to do some research into it.) And being able to read a little Mandarin is a major geek-out for me! :-D So if homework is the price I have to pay, so be it.

Way, way back, Christians were the equivalent of modern-day hippies - very earth and loving :) From time to time you'll still find them, all teh crazies kinda get in the way :)
