led astray

Last night was very domestic.  I came home and ran 2 loads of laundry, washed dishes, emptied some trash, and made myself a tuna melt with roasted garlic risotto.  It was good.  I guess it felt like a lot more since I had been at work all day.   Work wasn't bad.  I've been being treated slightly more human the last couple weeks.  That does not deter my search for improvement.  The nursing info session is tonight.  I'm so ready to get started.  wonderwoman79 linked me up with a friend of hers who is currently doing the program I'm going to get info about.  I think the main thing I want to ask her is about specializing.  I'm fine with blood and guts.  It's expelled matter that skeeves me.  I could totally be one of the nurses who assist in surgery, fetching scalpels and sponging blood.  I'm still really nervous about loans.  I don't know what it is about frelling paperwork!  It's going to be nice again this weekend.  I'll see if Q wants to make a visit.  Or maybe get a few people together for a picnic on Castle Island.

*must resist sun drenched claws of sleeping platform [if it succeeds a grapple check, I get stuck for 1D4 hours]*

I want to clean!  Stupid work getting in the way of my chores.

I believe the fam and I don't yet have plans for Saturday, if you/you +Q might want to come up for a visit. :)

I'd happily relay my experiences as a (veterinary) surgical technician. If you're not squicked by blood, tumors, and other surgical nast, it pays DARN well. You will also witness the occasional horrific death, of course, but most surgeries are just gross.
Animal gross isn't nearly as gross as human gross. I thought about vetting. I'm still in the consideration phase. I'd love to hear about it.

Let's email about the weekend. :-)
