OMG, I ate what??

Ok, so at sistahraven's suggestion I joined sparkpeople.com (it's a weight loss online community).  I didn't make it to work today, so I've been exploring the website.  I posted my meals for breakfast and lunch, and I think I see one of my main problems is something I thought I was doing right.  When I need a snack, I'll have a bowl of cereal...with soymilk, raisins, and nuts...yeah, almost 700 calories!  I was thinking nutritionally; this is fiber, protein, etc.  But I would have this 2-3 times a day when I'm at home, in addition to other meals.  Holy shit, dude!  ROFLMAO  Wow.Wowwowwow.  I'm sure there will be more amazing revelations along this path.  I'm hoping to get some community support this way.  I love my roomies dearly, but I can't keep eating the way they do.  This is going to take planning and effort.  My username is spryngsnowstorm if anyone wants to join or has an account can add me as a friend and we'll motivate each other!


That's exactly why I recommend the site. They helped me fine tune what was too much, what wasn't enough, and were *productive* rather than critical. Turns out I never get enough protein - part of the reason my liver is shot. That site has done some amazing things for me (and Druid, for that matter!)
I think I might join - "free" is good for the unemployed. Weight Watchers (and running) have been the only things that have ever helped me lose weight, but I can't afford WW now.
You joined! :-) It's kind of addictive to track my calories and nutrition. My big things right now is drinking all the water I'm supposed to!
