podcasts and apps

The Hoyce giveth his rightful prize to me. There was a contest at work and Hoyce's team won. He chose the prize I wanted and gave it to me. I tried to talk him out of it. He didn't budge. So now I have an ipod touch. The app store is overwhelming and difficult to navigate. And I want to find podcasts in Mandarin. I tried one that said 'ni hao' 8 times and decided it was too beginner. I know there are other places to find podcasts than the istore. Recommendations are welcome. Ideally, I'm looking for children's programming in Mandarin that I can download, like a Chinese Sesame Street.

This year started out so positively. Yeah, there were a few kinks and bumps, but overall it was good. Things were good for lots of my close friends as well. Then October hit and things fell to shit. Wtf happened? This year was awesome on so many levels and now it's gotten shitty. Cosmic shifting? Are we paying forward karma for next year? Some of us have years and years of back-karma owed us, if that's the case.

If you're in the market for some new awesome blues, check out Adele.

I've been really digging Adele lately.

I don't know about others, but this is my usual Autumnal suckiness. Dead times, and all that. Yule can be here anytimenow.

As for apps - maybe there's a Ni Hao, Kai Lan app? That's the Mandarin/English show we watched when you were over. They might have some vocabulary app or something, but I have no idea.
