back to the grind

I have been really spoiled with my 5 days off. Today I have to go back in to the job were I actually have to work and I am not looking forward to it. A bunch of new people are there, after I had just gotten used to the new summer crew. I think I am one of 3 non-management-types there from when I started over a year ago. It's really not so bad, but I have let myself get lazy. The position I am in today, I have to "run" food upstairs to the patio waitresses and take thier bus buckets back downstairs. That's my job. All day. Up and down stairs with heavy stuff. A bit like NERO, but no one else is pretending that goblins are chasing them. And my costume isn't as neat. Ok. Maybe the only thing NERO-like about it is how much energy it takes and how I don't want to move once I get home.

Our DM bailed on us. Said something life-altering happened and he can't play anymore and wrote us all he had planned for us. I couldn't tell from his letter if he really didn't want to talk about what happened or if he was baiting us to ask him what happened. Either way, I'm not biting. We're posting for a new DM + game.

I have other, more important things on my mind that I would like to say, but it would take too much time to order them into something that not only made sense, but didn't come accross as a challenge, before I have to leave for work. I hope I still have the energy to do it after work. Maybe I can think about it while I am going up and down stairs with nothing to say.

Mew? You guys get to tabletop? You are lucky.

I hope your job is good for you - good exercise. It will make you feel better. My last job was like that. Well, it made me tired, too.

Re: DM?

We had 2 sessions, including the meet-and -greet charachter creation day. :( The W-man is working on hooking us up another game.
