I got half my room clean yesterday. Then I spent 8 hours winding that lace. I watched The Stand. All of it. This is how I justify asking $12/hr for my stuff. There are a lot more hours that go into making the stuff than just the knitting. I don't mind it, but it has to be taken into account.

My diet is getting easier to manage. It just means I have to take frequent trips to the grocery store because the volume of food in the house I can eat is limited, so I go through it pretty quickly. Brunch is usually full fat plain Greek Yogurt, almond or cashew butter, and some chocolate whey protein powder over a bowl of bananas and berries. It's really satisfying. I'm still working out, lightly. Marc says there is a definite difference in my body, so I'm keen to keep going with this. My next cooking skill is going to be learning how to make chicken skins crispier. My diet says I need to be getting most of my calories from fats (instead of carbs/grains). It's harder than it sounds without a bread-like vessel for the fats. Lots of spinach pesto happens. I'll put pesto on whatever's in the house. I'm just making myself hungry over here, and I'm not supposed to eat for another 2-3 hours. Ah, well.

It's a crisp Spring day and I have many hours of knitting ahead of me. Tomorrow Marc is taking a day off studying and is talking about riding out of the city to do some hiking. Yes please.

Next month looks hella busy and fun! Legends, then Kinetik, then Caldaria all in a row! Squeeeee!!

To get chicken skins crispier - butter over medium high heat, and put the skin down first. NOM NOM.
